Amazing board game

If you are looking for a Star Wars board game with an actual board, instead of a pure skirmish, miniature war game, hands down, this is the best board game with Star Wars theme. You got 2 boards, long, deep, strategic gameplay, and a strong immersion into Star Wars theme that will keep you very delightful.

Star Wars Rebellion board game – experience an epic conflict over all the galaxy – disrupt Galactic Empire plans to conquer the galaxy as a member of Rebel Alliance or spread your enormously gigantic Galactic Empire army all over the galaxy to sniff out the rebel base and destroy it!

What a clever, beautifully looking game. The amount of components is HUGE, you can really feel the thematic impact. Players implement actions & missions that sort of let you experience the excitement once again: stealing valuable intelligence, blowing up planets, control of Stormtroopers, Tie Fighters, Star Destroyers, even the Death Star. Plus, you get to meet the famous characters from episodes 4, 5, or 6, such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Emperor Palpatine or Darth Vader, and more.

There are two main negative points about the game, its length and quiet boring combat system, especially with a larger amount of units. However, this has been improved by the expansion of Star Wars: Rebellion – Rise of the Empire. In fact, most of the players who try the expansion, they never ever choose to play the core set without it. The expansion improves the gameplay overall without extending the playtime.

Fun

Star Wars Rebellion is super interesting & deep. The gameplay is super long, but if you are into serious board games – this is even better! There is so much strategy in it. As a Rebel player, your troops are no match for the Empire, but You are not fighting a direct fight here. You travel through planets & make others join your cause & implement important military strikes against the Empire. Basically, you need to survive long enough, before the Empire player sniffs out your base location & destroys it. The Game is full of planning, bluff, deception & Star Wars experience.

Replay Value

Play it as many times as you want. Given the strategic variety, this is a very replayable game. There is a high variety of objective, mission & tactics’ cards, making the gameplay feel unique & involving for a very long time. The combat mechanics are a little repetitive and can eat up lots of time, especially when there are many units onto the same space.

Art & Parts

The aesthetics of the game are super good. The Star Wars theme is felt at every step of the game. The components are really qualitative, the miniatures are amazing, which can be painted. From small space units, such as Stormtroopers, to spacecraft, including Death Star, Star Destroyer, TIE fighters, and much more.

Price

Star Wars Rebellion is a really big game box, that includes a massive amount of components and a super large game board. The game is definitely pricey, but given the game value & components, I would say that the price is expected and worthy.
